Discover Shropshire

Step out of the rat race and discover the tranquility of wild beautiful spaces. Described by the Victorians as Little Switzerland due to the breathtaking views, fresh air and the way houses cling to the hills, Church Stretton was once favoured as a health resort and today it is a haven for hill walking, mountain biking, gliding, golfing, golfing and horse riding.

But if you are looking for something a little more relaxing, there are level woodland walks, a wealth of history and heritage together with hidden gems off the well trodden tourist track in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Guest Comments

We stayed the weekend in The Turret and were absolutely delighted with it.
The house is gorgeous and is incredibly well fitted out with everything we needed and more.
The Turret terrace was perfect for an early evening drink and to take in the beautiful scenery.

Our hosts were extremely relaxed, professional and enormously helpful. Ian's knowledge of the local area was invaluable and he helped us plan some great routes. His food recommendations were right on the money too.
